Scholarships & Funding for Kipe Academy

Kipe Academy accepts the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) and the Personalized Education Program (PEP). These scholarships provide Education Savings Account (ESA) funds that may be used toward eligible educational expenses, including tuition and services at Kipe Academy.

Kipe Academy participates as a direct bill provider through the EMA platform. Scholarship awards vary by program and student eligibility and do not always cover the full cost of tuition and fees. Families are responsible for any remaining balance.

Scholarship application timelines and eligibility requirements are determined by Step Up For Students and may change from year to year. Families should refer directly to Step Up For Students for the most current information.

Frequently Asked Questions

1 / Does reserving funds in EMA enroll my child at Kipe Academy

No. Reserving or allocating funds in the EMA portal does not enroll a student or initiate services. Enrollment and services at Kipe Academy begin only after completing an Interest Form and confirming alignment and availability.

2 / Does the scholarship cover the full cost of tuition and fees?

Scholarship amounts vary by program, county, grade level, and funding timeline. In some cases, scholarships may cover only a portion of tuition and fees. Families are responsible for any remaining balance not covered by scholarship funds.

3 / Can Kipe Academy see how much funding is left on my EMA account?

No. Families are responsible for monitoring their scholarship balance directly through the EMA portal. Kipe Academy does not have access to individual account balances.

4 / What happens if scholarship funds run out during the school year?

If scholarship funds are depleted, families are expected to self-pay for services in accordance with their enrollment agreement. As a small nonprofit organization, Kipe Academy relies on timely tuition payments to operate programs and support students throughout the year.

Families acknowledge financial responsibility as outlined in their enrollment agreement.
